In order to learn how to get rid of blackheads, you need to first know what causes them. If you know this, you will then be able to put together the best plan of action for defeating this problem. It must be remembered that acne is perhaps the most common of all skin conditions, particularly in teenagers. While acne is usually little more than an embarrassing nuisance, it can also bring with it, distressing problems like very low self esteem. Blackheads occur when the skin's natural oil collects and hardens in the pores. When this happens the tip of the hardened oil sticks out on the surface of the skin and appears to be black. This problem is very common among people that suffer from acne. But luckily, there are ways to remove these types of zits from your body. In many cases, this can be done overnight if you are aware of the treatment options that work best. It is extremely advisable not to squeeze the blackheads. This advice is hard because squeezing them can be addictive. They are made up of sebum, a type of oil and the blackheads result from a building up of this oil in the pores. The T-zone is the most common area for blackheads to occur. This t-zone covers the area of the forehead, nose and chin. Here are just a few of the ways how to get rid of blackheads. 1. Be sure to exfoliate the area of the skin that is most prone to blackheads. If possible this should be done up to three or four times a day. This will help to ensure that your pores of free of dead skin and other oils that may build up and cause these zits to occur. 2. Use creams that are meant to clear away dead skin cells. This will help to expose the blackhead so that you can more easily get rid of it with other treatment options. 3. Try to keep your hair away from your face. Your hair contains greasy oils that can cause blackheads and even spread infection. 4. Do not over wash your face. Some people are under the impression that the more they wash, the better chance they have of getting rid of blackheads. This is just a myth. Washing your face with soap one or two times a day is plenty. 5. Use makeup to obscure the blackheads. This can help the blackheads seem less offensive to the sufferer. It will also help with the self esteem, especially if you are a teenager. Overall, you can start the road to clearer skin by following the tips above. Getting rid of blackheads can appear to be sometimes impossible but taking on board and implementing the tips above, you should find that this should help.
