Your life is not supposed to be a struggle. It’s not supposed to be hard. The interesting thing is most people believe it is supposed to be a struggle and supposed to be hard. And if you are like most people, you’re living life from the outside in. This is not how life really works. When you live life from the outside in—you’re being influenced by everything out there. This causes you to push against those things that you don’t want. This creates a struggle and you end up in a continual loop repeating the same stuff and scenarios over and over. What you push against pushes back harder against you. It will push harder and harder until you succumb. This is a battle you cannot win. Scared by the news? Afraid we’re in an economic downturn? Does your money not go as far as you want—are you stuck in your life and can’t find a way out? Does this sound like you or someone you know? Do you find yourself attracting the same kind of mate, over and over? Do you find yourself living next to the same kind of neighbors over and over even if you’ve moved? How about your job? Do you find yourself with the same boss, even if you’ve changed jobs? You’re living life outside in. As long as that is going on, you cannot escape. If you want significant and lasting change in your life, you’ve got to turn that around. You’ve got to start living inside out. Define what you want in life. Write it down. Get clear about it. Get serious about what you want in life, otherwise you’re just wasting time. There is so much to be, do, and have, but if all you can see is what’s out there (and you don’t like what you see) nothing’s going to change for you. Ever. Oh, it might look different; but underneath—it’s the same. Every human being walking this earth is a divine child of the universe and as such, has the energy that creates worlds flowing through them. What are you doing with that energy? Are you sitting on the couch complaining about everything that’s gone wrong? Are you on autopilot letting whatever happens happen? Or are you actively pursuing your dreams? Have you even dared to dream? What one thing do you really love doing? Ask yourself that. What would you do all day if you could whether you got paid or not? Once you wake up and know who you are and apply some very simple and basic principles to your life, your life can change rapidly. Have you even dared to allow yourself to dream? Think about what you would do if you had the chance. Guess what? If you seriously want to—you can do just that. No joke. Why? Because you are the creator of your own experience. It’s time to take responsibility for your life—not blame. Once you step up to the plate, your life can change in ways that you cannot even fathom. Life is supposed to be good. The other day I heard a quote from Stephen Spielberg. “I have a great life. I get paid to dream.” What do you dream about? And what are you doing about it?
