  • I Am Not My "To-Do" List - Or Am I?  By : Jill Butler
This list making thing started when years ago my Mom gave me this little red booklet in the midst of a personal crisis. The booklet was encouraging making a list of all the things you wanted for your life. Start writing and at the end of the weekend, and not before, she said, will we talk about it. O.K. Mom. I wrote lists, more lists, edited them, threw stuff at the page with great fury and exuberance. I wrote and edited in a storm. The next day those things that seemed exactly what I wanted stayed on the list.
  • Mom Against Multi-Tasking  By : Lynn Lawson
Have you ever done something like this...drive, while putting on makeup, passing a juice cup to your toddler in the back seat, while talking on your cell phone? We all have! We take pride in wearing the "Multi-tasking Woman" badge of honor. We do it and all our friends do it, too. It just goes along with the territory of being a woman first, and a mom, second.
  • Five Effective Tips in Managing Your Busy Day  By : Brent McNutt
    1. Make a to-do list for the entire week. This does not mean that you have to make a schedule for the entire week. Just list down the things you need to accomplish before the week ends. This includes paying the bills, grocery shopping, visiting your parents or friends, and/or filing important documents. This will help you plan what to do during your free day. It will also help you squeeze in some of the things you can during your break in the office.
  • Mom's Guide to Saving Time  By : Aurelia Williams
Make a plan and write it down. Make it a habit to write a daily list of things to do and things you need. Life gets so busy sometimes especially if you have kids. It is going to be helpful to have those lists handy. You can easily save an extra trip to the store if you have a list of things to buy. You can also figure out how you can run all your errands so that you do not have to drive back and forth. Try to shop in the evenings when stores are less busy. There is no need to waste an hour standing in line when you can do something more productive with that time.
  • Slow Death By A Thousand To Do’s: An Answer, The "Rotating" To Do List  By : Suzi Elton
Consider the "Rotating To Do List". The concept is that you always organize your To Do list with the highest priority items on top, and handle the most important items first. It’s called a rotating To Do list, because the most important things naturally rotate to the top of the list, and off the list when accomplished. Unimportant items naturally rotate off the bottom of the list when you realize they do not need to be done. Items rotate up and down the list according to their importance.
  • Effective Time Management  By : Laurus Nobilis
Now, it is more obvious that the time is not that free and unlimited. Furthermore, you cannot turn time back or buy more, even if you are rich. Once the time has passed, there is no more. So, it is obvious that we need to manage our time given to perform a specific task, in a most time-efficient way.
  • 7 Time Management Activities You Can Start Applying Right Now  By : Maya Mah
They say your head is the worst place to store something and I have to agree. Trying to store important information in your head doesn't make any sense. Instead, write down important information so you can free up your head to focus entirely on the task at hand.
  • Make Time Before It’s Too Late  By : Chris McCombs
Maybe you too have found yourself with a day filled with duties and have sat down and looked at your calendar or been in the car alone for a few minutes and thought “where am 'I' in all of this”, where is the “me” that I once knew in this unending schedule of things that have become my life that don't really mean anything. Meeting with a client, writing a blog, checking e-mail, visiting the dentist, returning calls, and over and over again. Now I am not saying that some of the parts of your job or running your own small business happen to be fulfilling, but these are not usually the things one thinks of when they are thinking of a well lived life.
  • Rule 12: Stay Ahead of Your Schedule  By : L. Lowell
If there is one thing working moms need to do, it is to manage their time. In my humble opinion, every working mom needs a good organizer to accomplish this. I know that electronic organizers are all the rage – Blackberrys and iPhones are super cool, but not always practical (at least not for this working mom). Paper works everywhere and doesn’t run out of batteries. Soft cover, hard cover, ring-bound, glued spine, a week at a glance, one day per page, a month at a glance, spiral bound, electronic organizers…you name it, I have it (partly used and abandoned in a trunk in the basement!)
  • Stress Management Through Time Management  By : Maya Mah
One of the biggest reasons why many people fail to accomplish all they want to accomplish is because they don't let others help them. "Nobody can do it better than me" or "I need to do this myself" will cause a lot of stress because let's face it, you only have 24 hours in your day and only 2 hands. Try to delegate tasks that can be done just as well or even better by someone else. This will free up your time to work on the important goals and you will feel better when you get the important tasks done and move towards your goals.
  • 10 Time Management Tips: 10 Things You Can Do To Be Effective With Your Time  By : prakhar maheshwari
Since you can’t change time itself, you need to change how you work with time. This can be done by making small personal goals to start with, moving to larger goals as you progress in your time management skills. For example, set a goal to not check your personal email while at work for one week. At the end of the week, evaluate whether you achieved that goal and add another one or try again.
  • Finding Balance Between Making Money And Being Happy  By : Kevin Tyler Smith
Train yourself to shed off problems at work the moment you leave your office. Use the time you spend traveling home to get rid of residual stress. By the time you enter your home, you should have all your work problems shelved inside a drawer that you can only pull open when you go back to the office.
  • Managing Your Life by Managing Your Time  By : Ronnie Nijmeh
Some people think that time management is something you either have or you don't, but this isn't the case at all. The fact is that yes, some people find that these skills come easier and others may have to work a bit harder than others to make time management a reality, but it's certainly not impossible!
  • Techniques To Manage Your Time  By : Aurelia Williams
Plan ahead for traffic delays and phone call interruptions. Leave an hour or so earlier than your scheduled appointment time giving you plenty of time to arrive at your destination even if something unexpected should occur.
  • 5 Ways To Make Absolutely Sure You Get Nothing Done Today  By : Jill Borash
Five minutes is the perfect amount of time to get something started but not completed. I recommend starting the day with a 5 minute shower (If you can get completely showered in less than 5 minutes, you’re a better woman than I am. Between the shampoo, conditioner and trying to get my legs shaved, I find it impossible.). No one will notice that the shampoo is still in your hair. Follow that up with a 5 minute breakfast (better make it a granola bar or you’ll never get it down in time). And then spend all of your time at work doing no more than 5 minute projects (Since that little mail icon always pops up every five minutes with a new email message, this shouldn’t be too difficult).
  • Do You Wonder Where Your Day Went?  By : Ingrid Grzeskowiak
The article talks about the effort to manage time effectively on a daily basis while having a full time work from home marketing business, a household to keep, a family to care for and lots of dreams about how life could change to the better if "I´m only getting things done".
  • If You Need A New Resume  By : Jason Kay
There are times when you don’t need to completely scrap your current resume—just a few simple tweaks and updates are needed. But other times, you need a complete rewrite. How do you know whether an update or rewrite is in order? First, determine where you fit into the list above. If you identify with any of the reasons in numbers 1-5, you probably need a complete rewrite; reasons 6-9 could go either way, depending on the situation; and with reasons 10-13, simple updates will probably work well for you.

  • Switch Off Time Management?  By : Michael Spindelman
We lust after achievement instead of filling our lives with true passion. Passion is filling, lust is exhausting. We tend to seek pride instead of satisfaction of fulfillment. Pride is something we feel internally. Satisfaction is what we experience when we have made an impact.
